You earn a living killing monsters, and are a member of a brotherhood founded to protect people from werewolves, the undead, and a host of other beasts. It uses advanced graphics and physics systems for a high-powered blend of brutal action, complex RPG options, and sweeping storytelling.

Enhanced Edition has improved graphics, retouched gameplay mechanics, speedier loading, and added dialog and character gestures. Also included are bonuses such as a MOD editor called D'jinni that allows players to create or modify their own adventures in the world of The Witcher, as well as 2 new adventures created by CD Projekt RED.

Game buzz for The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

Still don't really like the combat that much but I'm starting to enjoy it now. Although I'm only about an hour in.

    • I don't find hard or what ever it's just rather boring just clicking on enemies to attack. I probably ruined it a little by playing 2&3 before I got around to this. But I'm sticking with as I'm interested in the story.

    • Well ya know there's that whole timing thing to get triple damage and all. But most importantly, there are some damned nasty finishing moves that are a total delight to use. Yeah if all you do is hack away then it's going to not be interesting.

After playing The Witcher 2 and 3 I'm really struggling to get into this. The combat is putting me off. I'm sure it was probably fine when the game first released but it just feels horrible to me.

Hey! You know what's fun? Getting drunk in real life, getting Geralt drunk in-game, and still kicking everyone's ass at the bar in the not-so-underground fight club. Double drunk ass kicking FTW!

I feel like i've been investigating 'suspects' in chapter 2 of this game for the past 9 hours now....

That was interesting. Done with the game. Do NOT answer the questions if related to lore or characters. I hope some of them will be answered in The Witcher 2 or The Witcher 3. Thanks. :)

What a game. The overal experience has been great. A few flaws here and there, but the total experience makes those few flaws non-existent. The atmosphere feels pretty spot-on all the time, the music increases the games inhabitants and how alive it feels. I felt throughout the game as I were Geralt. My own choices, small or big did make an impact. Some died because of it, some lived. I stuck to the neutrality route and the consequens of it were not good.

The act: Be warned, this will contain spoilers.

With the Grand Master dead, and I assume Berengar too was left with the impression that the Grand Master is Alvin. He wore the same amulet Geralt gave him in Murky Waters, he mentioned a few lines that seemed just like something my Geralt would say. So who is this Grand Master? Alvin, or someone else? Now, the final CGI cutscene seemed to show Geralt fighting Berengar. Berengar lost an arm, and died by Geralts sword and once again saved King Foltests skin. If it were Berengar. Looked like him. Anway, guess I'll find out in The Witcher 2. :)

I rate this game: 9 out of 10.

    + Good music

    + Great and atmospheric music

+ Perfect atmosphere throughout the game

    + ++++++++++

    - At times horrible graphics and the animation annoyed me from time to time

    - Not the best combat system

    - Bad voice acting

. Plus additional of those again for the quest given by a certain dentist. Yay. Noticed now I should increase the difficulty. I can kill most enemies withing 4-5 combos. That or I am overpowered already. Level 28. :D

Some more progress made. Act III too feels like it'll last for all eternity. Sigh.

My only complaint so far: Act 2 and 3 feels waay to long.

One trophy mob down, one to go. Several side-quests done, some progress on the main quest, 3 levels up, a new steel sword with some nice effects. Didn't like the -20% damage though.

Oh my dear The Witcher 2, I am soon ready for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Geralt is one horny guy. One just can't cut it, oh no. If it can be laid, do it. Pretty sure that's his motto. Not talking about certain optional characters either.

Aanyway: One fist fight less to do, one less dice poker to play, managed to end a few side-quests really early and managed to rack up a few new ones. Swallow made, Cat Eye made, Blizzard made, Igni improved, monsters getting their lives cut short. Got a feeling act III will be just as long as Act II. I sense alot of running back and forth. :/

    Sigh, random crashes...

Anyway, finally got to Act III, and things just became more interesting.
