[+] After pushing this off for 5 yrs and finally getting a built in motion plus wii controller I decided to start this and it was amazing I really love the motion controls for the sword and shield and the different strikes you can do, but flying was an issue, I tired my arms a bit. Overall I am glad that I started this and it is amazing and can't wait to see what happens next!

Started this instead of Twilight Princess. Pretty good so far, totally digging the soundtrack. The motion controls are "novel," and I hope they don't outstay their welcome.

    • Great game, I remember arguing about Motion when it came out (I like my regular button controls), but I replayed it less than 2 years ago and they were just great. I mean, not much of a problem, mostly fine.

    • Eh Twilight Princess is leagues better honestly. Enjoy that one though. It's not bad, just not the best.

This game would be much better if it was actually playable, motion controls are garbage.

    • *expletive deleted*, I played it again and I was impressed at how good they were.

Back when it was released I was feeling negative emotions, but now I felt em great. They work flawlessly (except for when you bounce off an enemy because he blocked you, that kinda messes the Motion if you try to attack right away).

I dislike Motion Controls, but saying they're garbage is utter *expletive deleted*.

    • I actually felt Twilight Princess had better motion controls than Skyward Sword. TP had less to work with, but what they had worked. SS had the Wii Motion Plus, which should have made it better, but they tried to do too much with it, and it was rather awkward half the time.

    • Story wise I'd say it's easily the best in the series. Like @Blaze33405 said, you end up loving the characters; because of this, it engages you in the story as you feel like you've got a sense of personal involvement, which if honest, not a lot of the other games have.

Where it ends up on my actual list (which is constantly changing) though, I'd say it's 4th.

    • @CalumB90 approved!

Majora's Mask could very well end up at the top of my list somewhere but I still haven't played it. :(

No expansion pack on my N64 growing up and I don't want to play it with DS controls.

Sometimes the MotionPlus overworks with precise perfection, and sometimes Link just doesen't know what the fack is going on.

Specially when fighting against enemies that defend, and right after bouncing my attack I'm readying from the opposite direction ...

    • No arguements there. It wasn't perfect but did work enough. Once I personally got it down it was damn fun and immersive.

    • It IS fun, I don't personally like the Wii Mote idea, but hell how I love this.

When SS was released I rushed into it I have no idea why, and boy how much stuff did I missed to appreciate about this game.

Need to find where I left the Sensor Bar and WiiMotes so I can start this and Twilight Princess again.

Been listening to the OST lately.

I SO want to replay this game. Besides, I've only played it once.

    • I agree the controls could be better. But after a while it used to it. Though I did have to be patient about what I was doing and time my attacks. After beating it, it felt good since it was challenging for me to play the game in a different form. Wasn't the best Zelda I played due to how linear it was but was unique for its controls. Gave me a different experience. But we all see it differently. I'm just expressing my own experiences.

    • Basically it was VERY SATIAFYING swinging a sword and beating bosses like that. Felt a lot more immersive XD
