So many memories! Played the whole trilogy on pc and ps2 many times and now i finally got it on the ps3. Too bad the HD collection has some annoying audio issues, but otherwise as good as I remember. Nostalgia!

[+] It's taken me ten years to finally finish this. I first played it when I was about 8 or so, and at the time it was the hardest game I had ever played; but as challenging as it was, I loved everything about it. In the end though, as much as I loved it, I gave up, because there was this one puzzle that I just couldn't get my head around; looking back on it after finishing it today though, I really should be ashamed of my 8 year old self (which I generally am, when it comes to gaming).

Having finally finished it, it isn't as wonderful as I remember, but that could be because the HD version isn't exactly the best it could be, that and it was very short, but overall I still love it. Now to get the Platinum, and then make my way to Warrior Within.

While I was interested in the game, I never got it for some reason. Finally getting a chance to play it in the HD collection, I was expecting to enjoy it about as much as other HD collections. However, that was not the case. Combat was at best okay, but many fights dragged on too long taking away any fun they may have had. The game also gets way too repetitive. I actually started getting bored even though it is only around 6 hours long. Audio issues kept popping up as well, though I’ve read online these issues were not in the original version. At least there were several fun platforming sections that held my attention. And being able to rewind time is a cool idea, even if it’s only use is to be an optional game mechanic for assistance instead of creative puzzle solving. Hopefully when I get around to playing the next two games, they will turn out better than this game.

[+] Platinum #71: Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

I absolutely loved this series when it came out on the PS2. It's pretty fun to play it again as it is nostalgic for me. Don't remember the dialogue so out of sync though and the graphics sure look weird nowadays but this series is one of my all time favorites. Warrior Within is next up and it's my favorite one out of the trilogy.

    • I kinda regretted getting the HD version on PS3 because of the out of sync dialogue and the game overall sounding like it was recorded in a tunnel. As if the center channel was just removed or something.

    • @G10BK - No pun intended right lol =P

@Nettacki - Yeah almost all dialogue are out of sync. Kinda annoying but that seems to be the case with some HD versions of old games.

Finished the trilogy, baby. After starting this years ago and quitting because it seemed too daunting, I am now more than half way through the whole series. 3 out of 5!

    • I started The Sands of Time over 2 years ago, got to 26% trophies then quit cause wasn't fussed on the awkward camera. Restarted it the other day to finally get this trilogy finished and improve my overall trophy completion level. Just can't get the motivation to play it for long periods though

I play a little here and there but this weekend I'll finish and move to the next PoP. Moving through these gnarly rooms and puzzles with Princess Farah is a stark reminder of navigating the Castle of the Mist as Ico with Yorda.

    Plat #28

A classic game and easy platinum. The combat feels a little rusty and is hampered by a bad camera but the puzzles and platforming still shine and make it overall a great experience to play.
