The first expansion pack for Mount & Blade introduces an array of brand-new features, highlighted by a multiplayer capability that allows up to 32 players to battle it out in team-deathmatch-style combat on a single map.

The other changes to the game are the introduction of a sixth faction, and the reorganisation of the overworld map. The introduction of political options allows players to influence lords and marry ladies, and it is possible for an unaligned player to capture a town or castle and start their own faction. The game contains slightly improved graphics, along with new or altered animations in combat.

Tis been somewhat tough, but my Realm is growing pretty fast.

I don't know why sometimes my Troop's Morale lowers a lot; we're pillaging and fighting other Lords n shiet, WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?, TROOPS

    • I always do, man.

I always get em some good chicken, honey (when I find it), bread, cheese, and beef.

And lots of Grain (since it won't rot).

Tis kinda strange, I always have a minimum of 4 food in my inventory.

    • But imagine 1000 Player online Battles and bigger maps.

Hell I would love better Boat physics, able to to control the sails depending on wind regardless on size of Boat. (port or starboard)

Epic Sea Battles, Line Battles, and Objective battles

Remember watching the 200 year Reenactment of Perry's Ship Battle in 1813 - 2013.

God I hope Bannerlord is truly a successor to Warband, So many mods on this game but hardly people play multiplayer mods unless the regiment goes on the mod.

Most developers would say "200 or 1000 player servers?!?! Dat 2 hard mang pls play our 10 player gaems with subscription/DLC payment for stability"

[+] What is harder than Dark Souls? How about real people, hitting back?

Mea culpa! I played a little bit of Mount & Blade a long while ago and thought nothing of it. I liked the fighting mechanics - swing a sword, throw a javelin - on foot or on horse's back. "It's ok."

Revisiting it, after playing tons of Dark Souls, Mount & Blade is suddenly more interesting. There is no 'auto lock-on', you miss, you missed ... and meanwhile your human opponent HIT YOU!

War of the Roses does the same thing. It's up to you, which one you want to pick, if any. I have to revisit now both games.

SweetFX makes it even look purdy.

    • And the further you get the harder it is, especially when you make your own faction

    • Love Mount and Blade, Online is the best part with Napoleon Wars imo. Or back then when it was Mount and Musket. Ready for Bannerlord, hopefully sieges will be more catastrophe and interesting with better/more AI and siege weapons in the sequel. Along with some minor bug fixes and increased capacity for multiplayer .

Then again I'd LOVE to see mods with Ancient Mayan Temples or Cambodia Temples in a Ancient warfare setting. Ancient Middle East like Jerusalem or Persia. Maybe Ancient Africa like the Pyramids or Carthage.

Too many games in Edo period Japan or Medieval Europe.

Don't judge this game by it's vanilla core. The mods are the reason why this game is so popular.

    • ... oh, you're right. I was thinking how to talk to 'new' players - those, who are checking it out on this Steam 'Free Weekend'. It looks rather outdated? Something FPS-type games are always judged on: looks.
