I didn't know it turns into a do random missions getting points nonsense. I was hoping for some good story DLC, not this.

    • I never made it through the main game, although the story part is interesting (made it about 1hr into the game, then stopped). One day...

...it's just, the 'open world' could not compete with GTA IV, I already played at the time. I see the limits everywhere. That aspect is somehow important to me.

Re-playing this almost makes me want to go back play L.A Noire again. I wish more games were set in 30s-50s.

    • Nope, I never played the first game. I should of picked it up on PC when I had the chance. This was my first introduction to this series and I actually only played it because I borrowed a friends copy. Ended up loving it, it's one of my favorite game of last gen.

    • The 20's-50's was a really interesting timeframe in history, I enjoy LA Noire and Mafia II tremendously. Their accuracy to the time periods being beyond reproach certainly doesn't hurt things. Including no qualms about things like the rampant racism of the time, which only helps in the superb storytelling, because I hate sugarcoating.

Mafia 2 is an absolute masterpiece in my opinion. The soundtrack, the story, the gameplay and radio songs make it feel like you're in 1950's mafia infested NYC. Still one of my all time favorite games. But Mafia 3 just doesn't seem to have that spark. I won't be getting it day one. Will definitely wait.

    • I think it looks pretty awesome. Mafia 2 did great with its setting and the music was great. I expect similar things with Mafia 3 even though it's set in a different location and time.

Which game do you think has the best soundtrack?

Personally I think Mafia II is up there with one of the best.

    • @SidNightWalker Last time I played, the game kept crashing at the payphone stage ): Man I hope that doesn't happen again..

If it does, is there a console command to force-complete a mission by any chance? If you know :P

    • Huh, I really haven't ran into any bugs in the game, but if there's a workaround anywhere you can usually find it in the Steam guides or the forums. This even includes save files you can download and stuff.

    • The word racism has existed since it was first written in an article in the year 1902. Just because the general public didn't consider excluding a race of people from using the same facilities as themselves as racist, doesn't mean that racism didn't exist back then. Just because something is a social norm, doesn't make it right. Have you not heard of the Civil Rights Movement, which started in the early 60's?

    • This is 2015. The current legal system is a powerful tool against any perceived racism and businesses do not want to get involved in any such civil case.

I grow weary of those who go back 50 years in an attempt to say things haven't changed. I recall an instance of some NBA star with a multi-million dollar contract complaining that he was a victim of discrimination somehow. What I wouldn't give to be similarly discriminated against.

I tire of the race-baiters such as Sharpton and Jackson who make their living on perpetuating the myth and shaking down businesses with threats in order to line their own pockets.

Did anybody else know that Vito shows up in the trailer? I watched it on my phone, so it was kinda crappy, but I saw loads of people talking about him on Twitter.
