Been playing bits and pieces here and there over the past 5 days and made a push to finish it about 14 hours ago and finally beat it and finished the credits about 10 minutes ago. Its a pretty solid game and the story was excellent and its made it into the top 5 Final Fantasy games for me. Final levels were between 60-68 I believe possibly a bit higher, loved the gem box item, and Kefka for me is one of the best villains I've seen in a game ever. Overall score 8.5/10.

Lot of story stuff happened, party is between levels 25-26, just beat a boss fight on the floating continent and I suspect another fight against Kefka's coming up the next time I play.

Fought Kefka yet again for what feels like the 10th time (I'm starting to think this guy will never die) and finished with the sealed gate cave and now I've gotten back to the airship, figured it was as good a place as any to stop for now and I need to go to Vector yet again the next time I play.

    • Zozo's music is great and an annoying city to go through. Did you get the Chainsaw there? I love that part of the game... well I love almost all of it but that section you just finished in one of the best.

    • It took quite some time to get through Zozo but I did manage to get the chainsaw which I thought was a strange weapon and I don't recall seeing it in any of the other FF games.

Party is around levels 12-13 and I just left a place called Nikeah. Sabin's part sure took a long time to do in comparison to Locke's.

    • VIII was just... so very meh. XIII was a corridor simulation. I've had a lot of people tell me that the game opens up after around 10-15 hours or so, but if I can't get into the game within the first few hours, then I'll never get into it. I didn't like the characters either.

    • Definitely the best final fantasy ever. VIII had good gameplay and an awesome mini game but the story was kinda flat. XIII to me is the hardest to get into. I'm playing XIII-2 and it's actually more fun. The characters are pretty static though imo

    • If you're feeling ambitious, you can also steal a few Mithril Claws from the Rhinotaurs around South Figaro to give to Sabin later on. He can dual wield them with the right accessory.

    • Yeah, don't forget to be indecisive with Banon (as Terra in the Returner's Hideout) because Gengi Glove>Gauntlet

    • Sounds awesome can't wait to see him in full action then... Should I be thinking that when I'm playing on the opposite team though? Lol.

    • If you enjoy psychotic despots, then watching him at work is a real joy. Plus, you just sorta love to hate him. Kinda like Frank Burns, on M*A*S*H.

Also felt them goosebumps at the end credits, such a majestical piece of music.

Yellow light: Third Strike got to my PS3. Hoped it would at least be a year before that happened, oh well.

Back to this on the Vita, just need to find one more friend to have the whole crew back ...
