I know Obsidian are busy with games like Pillars of Eternity, but I wouldn't mind them making another Fallout game like New Vegas.

I just love PC mods sometimes.

What other version allows you to trek the wastelands accompanied by a BoS member, a Spartan and a Republic Commando? None.

    • God forbid a younger actor to play an evil villain that wears black and gets angry all the time when his powers come FROM his emotions. Oh lord, I guess that makes every dark side character ever in Star Wars an emo bitch.

    Accidentally started DLC and saved.

Entire file is deleted just like that!

As for Hope Lies, a modded companion that I downloaded, her weapon of choice? A baseball bat.

I find it quite funny when she runs off ahead and tries to bash our foes with a blunt weapon. It's basically suicidal, unless I find her a poweful weapon.

    Starting this out on PC.

Forgot the character customization was trash lol.

    • I wouldn't say character creation is trash....just limited....

if it were trash then you'd get maybe 5 or 6 selections tops and no face molding like oh say IDK.......KOTOR, great RPG very deep, a classic that I love but character creation is simplistic in that game.......

    - Delta Squad (Star Wars: Republic Commando - Yes, all four of them)

I just love the joy that mods bring to games like these! I just hope that Fallout 4 will support mods like these on the PC (There will probably be a restriction on consoles, sorry!)

[+] I really need some help with this game. I'm having massive frame rate drops on a GTX 970 with an Intel i54460 cpu. I could run Fallout 3 and Skyrim both on ultra and at a very steady 60fps, yet this game is constantly in the twenties and thirties sometimes even lower in the strip. I've tried many "fixes" but none have worked. I really wanna finish this game already but it isn't very enjoyable in this state. I didn't put together a good gaming PC to still play a game in 30fps or lower lol

    • You should get Rivatuner so you can look at the OSD and see how your GPU is behaving like whether you GPU clock is running at full frequency or not, such as your case.

Not to mention I like the setting. My girlfriend's paternal family live in Hurricane, which is right outside of Zion Canyon, literally; her aunt is actually a (seasonal) ranger for the park. We spent two weeks there last year; now, it was winter, so everything was buried in snow so it looked quite different than in the game. We went over to Bryce Canyon for a few days, but never did make it to Dead Horse Point State Park; maybe next time.

[+] One thing I really like about the Fallout series is the number of ways to solve/go about problems; it really makes your skills matter beyond their most basic functions. Things like using your explosives skills to disarm bombs and traps, your medicine skills to diagnose some injured survivor, using your scientific skills to hack security systems, your skills and stats giving you special dialogue options. It's really cool; almost DnD like in execution.

I certainly expect them to carry it over into the next game. It would be cool to see it in TES games too; maybe things like arcane knowledge and alchemy skills.

Tell me; what do you think are the most often useful skills to have, beyond their basic functions (killing things). Explosives? Science? Medicine?

    • Oh, they can always be circumvented. It's just nice/satisfying to pass/complete them.

And you're right with your classification of active versus passive skills; except that they all have active benefits. Medicine increases your use of, well, medicine. Explosives increases your skill and damage with grenades, missile launchers, and the like in the same way that light guns does to light guns. Additionally, science increases your abilities with lasers. So all these are active skills that just happen to also take up the majority of passive checks. Which is why it seems kind of counter-productive to take my usual skill set; that being the ones you pointed out.

    • Like I said though, by the time I reach around level 30(and leveling seems much faster in NV), I can pass MOST checks. I tend to try and get to the medical clinic near the strip fairly early on so I can purchase augs to make my leveling even faster:)
