I rented this game back in 2012 from Gamefly, but it froze right at the beginning after about 10 minutes of play, earning 1 trophy. It happened multiple times, so I ended up shipping the game back. In 2015, I revisited de Blob 2 again through a PlayStation Now trial and made progress until it ended. Got another trial code last week, and platinumed it. That's a heck of a gap, but I'm happy it's finally finished lol.
So anyway, the game's pretty great! I enjoy games that involves the concept of reviving, or returning things back to normal through life, color, and richness of environments. It's cool to see Blob just roll over everything to make it alive. Fun story, music's very fitting, and the combat is simple but fun too.
Levels are quite large, and each takes over an hour a piece to complete — more when going for collectibles. Over time it can become tedious when it comes to looking for that one last, well hidden collectible. So patience and a guide is a must to avoid wasting time. One trophy actually glitched on me, but thankfully it popped as I decided to continue to collect what was remaining.
Very cool game overall though!
