I keep seeing people say that the silver pendant blocks Kalameet's breath attacks, but after multiple attempts I find that it just doesn't?

    • I only got one person my entire play through for PC, it was so weird finding a sign lol.

    • I wound up putting my own sign down until someone summoned me, then asked for their help once I helped them.

Two birds with one stone, as I also wound up getting my 10th sunlight medal.

Despite the fact that he's kicking my ass, I really enjoy the fight with Artorias. Something about it just feels so... Perfect.

    • four kings are honestly one of the easiest fights next to nito, then again they were eating my DMB falchion spam. also if you take too long, a 5th one will show up if i remember right...

    • Then again, Nito is only easy if you have a divine weapon to take out the skellies with.

I've pretty much just been defaulting to my mace (which I wish there was a cooler one of. But it appears to be the best weapon of its type) while using a broadsword if I have to hit side-to-side for whatever reason.

    • Murakumo is my fave weapon in Dark Souls no matter what build I make. Due to fusions you can customise weapons to your builds needs. For it to scale with faith it would be best as either Divine or Occult.

Why do people say Smough's second form is easier? His jumping attack throws all conception of that out the window for me. Its radius must be, what, twice as big as Ornstein's?

I haven't managed to get him down to half health while with Ornstein I got him down to around 1/4th...

    Maybe it's just me...

Wish I had some Xbox live so I could summon some help (that is, if anyone else still even plays this) instead of having to rely on just poor Solaire.

    • I found, through my Soulses years, that, in the beginning, it is "always me", who fails to appreciate the elegance of the different approaches.

Mostly, I try "one" tactics and even when I think, I am 'changing my playstyle', I watch Twitch/YT videos of other players and my mind is blown, how differently their play-style is compared to mine.

In the beginning, the boss fight always appears to my mind as impossible, strange and overwhelming. But once the 'curtain' is revealed, I join the minions who breeze through the content eventually.

Sure, some fights can always be tricky, but I judge them these days by my own moods. The way I lose in Dark Souls, tells me about my current state of mind.

This game taught me more about myself, than any other.

    • Well that got philosophical.

But yeah finally getting a trick down for these guys was satisfying. Kill Smough as quick as I could with my lightning spear from Sen's Fortress so Solaire could have as much health as possible, then just stay close to Ornstein (except when he does the lightning smash), two handing my mace for attacks, and one-handing so I could have my shield up while waiting for an opening
