the movie showing Fassbender’s two characters, 15th-century swordsman Aguilar and his modern-day ancestor Callum Lynch, in action.

my thoughts. it do not look like AC from what the games show that i played.

Ubisoft has at least six movies in the pipeline. In addition to Assassin's Creed, the Paris-based publisher is making movies based on its Far Cry, Rabbids, Watch Dogs, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon franchises. In all instances, Ubisoft will retain some level of creative control through its Ubisoft Motion Pictures group.

The movie is directed by Justin Kurzel, who recently helmed Macbeth, which also featured Fassbender in the lead role.

    • The mini movie they did to introduce the release of AC 2 was really good. Even had some of the actors in the mini film be the models for most of Ezio's family in game. But this new AC film.....I"ll wait till it on Netflix or something in a couple years

[+] So, I started playing this again after not playing for oh.... let's just say a couple years, and I have to say I am really enjoying it this time around. I'm not sure if it's because I actually know what I'm doing right off the bat from my heavy AC2 experience, or it's being able to run it at 60fps at all times maxed out now (probably both), but I'm appreciating it for the sum of it's parts quite a bit. The story starts out strong and never stops, and the mechanics are generally sound, if simple. AC2 is assuredly the better game, but it grew from the seeds that were sewn, and sewn well, here. Humble beginnings, perhaps you could say. But quality beginnings they indeed were.

    • I will never have to go for the flags and I am very thankful for that, LOL.

    • The first time I played through the game, I tried going for flags but missed one or two of them across the entire game, so I was like ffs no.

I came back to it years later and replayed. Avoided all flags and just did a youtube video guide step by step. It was agonizing, but a well-received achievement.

My reaction when I find myself actually in modern time instread of thye 12th Century. Discovering the Brotherhood of Templars through your assassination targets, and of course the twist at the end.

    • Easily my favorite AC game and my favorite AC game setting. It was when the ideas were fresh and the gameplay mechanics were not overdone like they are/have been now

I've wondered about something: if II is the apparent peak of the series (from text I've seen people type here and there), why is the rest of the series downhill? I'd like to think cod-esque yearly releases isn't the only reason. Is it the modern day plot?

[+] Has anyone read the 'The Secret Crusade' novel? I'm almost at the end of it and I have to say that it's actually a very good read. It's definitely making me want to replay AC1, with my newfound perspective of Altair's life.

    • I read it a few years back. As far as a tie-in novel goes, I thought it was pretty good; also as you said, it provides a deeper perspective on Altair's life, expanding on what we know from Assassin's Creed and AC: Revelations.

    • @MJ12_Conspiracy Prince of Persia failed domestically but did better overseas. It went on to become the highest-grossing movie based on a video game and still holds that record. But yeah, overall, it didn't do exceptionally well.

That's still not to say Assassin's Creed won't fair better. Your expectations cannot be predicated on the performance of Prince of Persia. Both being similar games by the same publisher means NOTHING. The Assassin's Creed movie is being produced and distributed by different companies, with an entirely different crew working on it. Not to mention, I'd say that AC is a lot more popular than POP.

Again with negativity, man. My god...

    • Similar subject matter.....

a man who runs along rooftops, fights many enemies and uses parkour...

the other is a man who runs along rooftops to eaves drop on people, blend into crowds, fights many people and kills people in historic settings.....

IDK that sounds too much like the same film just bigger and badder...wait I just described a meh sequel.....lolz

Playfire gathered achievements multiple times but it's still at 98%. Guess that's what you get for replaying the entire game and kill all templars because one didn't count the last time. -.-

    • I found it. It's weird because it only lets me access my games when I click on one as 'most recent game played' - if I just click on the 'games' tab, it only gives me my PC games. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
