With in the machine, Desmond relives the life of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, a prominent member of the Assassin's Order during the crusades. "For Glory" is a 1 v 1 mode, no items and always Final Destination I believe?

Sounds fun, sounds like most people who play "FG" are not Christmas noobs.

So, for us Christmas noobs or noobs in general - I give you: For Shame!

It's shameful we're not ready "FG" and it would be shameful to lose to a CPU!

This is a great way to past the time and practice. I hope this idea isn't too bad.

    Basically "FG" offline.

This is my first For Shame battle and me explaining it more, after this I will be doing "FS"

battles often til I'm ready for "FG".

Too many roof sentries ruining my rooftime adventures. Need throwing knives. Need throwing knives now.

Finally got my knife! Always prefer using this weapon, rather than the hidden blade or sword. Plus, I can counter kill now! Templars, prepare to be slaughtered.

    • I would get a xbone if gears was remastered. I love Gears but Ass Creed can kiss my ass. I hated the first one and the third one. Cannot wait to try Unity though I have heard of all the bugs

    • What would a remastered version of Gears even do? It's not as if they can make it look better.

As much as I love this game, I can't help but get bored of the combat - it seems so sluggish compared to its sequals.

    • Still my favorite of them as repetitive as it is. Besides, I always just countered them to get the easy kills, especially since walking too fast made guards chase you.

    • I'm not complaining at their lack of creativity with this game in the combat. I know the combat is better in the sequels, and for obvious reasons. I'm replaying this game and loving it, but I'm just pointing out a little thought I had whilst playing it i.e. "God, the combat is a lot better in the other games..."

this game looks better than AC2, ACB and ACR . it is so photorealistic. specially the textures . AC revelations looks too colorful for my taste

    • I didn't say assassins weren't in Asia, I said they weren't in China and Japan.

Assassins were originally in the Mid East. I just prefer to play in actually nice looking places like France and Italy rather than running around in sand.

@hawk there weren't assassins in those places. While black flag was okay, 3 was just bad.

This is the first time I've played an AC game. The series did seem kinda interesting, but the desire wasn't really there and I pretty much wrote it off as something I wouldn't get into. Other games were much more of a priority to me. I definitely judged it too fast. I actually really enjoyed it. The gameplay was very fun and it had such an interesting concept. The story was definitely the best part about it, in my opinion. I liked how there were two separate plots going on: The plot in 1191 during Desmond's time in the "Animus" and the plot in the modern-day, which were both tied together to create one complete narrative. That was really cool. The game isn't very long, though. In fact, if you do NONE of the side-objectives and just stick to gathering the necessary amount of investigations that you need to assassinate the target, and then assassinating them, you can probably blow through it within a day. I did everything, so it took me longer.

If I had anything negative to say about it, it would be that the controls were a bit wonky. I ended up doing a lot of things I didn't meant to do. The beggar women and the crazy "drunk" guys were also a HUGE pain in the ass. I failed at least a few objectives due to them getting in the way. But those things aside, it was a great game.

Not sure when or even if I will go through the rest of the series. I'm definitely interested, but there's so many games on my list I still have to get through. If I do end going through the series, I will probably just stick to the main games and skip out on the spin-offs/side sequels.

    • I downloaded it to get into the series, and now I'm buying a new one whenever I beat one. You know that I don't like the storyline, but I just lovwew the gameplay and the historical protagonists! Desmond's friends are pretty awesome as well. Miles is funny.
