Anyone else here wants this to be part of the Xbox One backwards compatibility games list? This is by far one of my most favorite games, at least it gives me a big reason to move to the Xbox One, even though my 360 can barely hold itself now, disk tray gets stuck, games don't read properly, controller is bit wonky, can't find controllers, HDD is running out, anyway, usual stuff for an almost 10 year old console...
A new Austrlian company called Quantum Performance Vehicles has unveiled its first car, and what a beast.
It has a power-to-weight ratio of exactly 1:1
Quantum PV promises to “give the world’s top hyper cars a run for their money.”, it's called the GP700, it has been in development for 7 years, and just now they have finaly revealed their grand masterpiece.
This "stripped-down" open-wheel track toy has an impressive stat list, here are the ones that stand out the most:
1 - it has 60% more power-to-weight ratio then a Bugatti Veyron
2 - there’s more longitudinal force during peak acceleration than a free-fall skydive (1.2 G’s vs 1.0 G’s)
3 - there’s enough lateral grip when cornering at 180 km/h (112 mph) to approach the same forces experienced during the launch of a space shuttle (2.5 G’s vs 3.0 G’s)
4 - there’s enough braking force to rival that of a plane landing on an aircraft carrier (2.0 G’s).
So then, it’s probably safe to assume the Quantum GP700 will rip apexes like a monster truck pulling dandelions. The best part of course, its also, amazingly, road legal.
Sounds fairly like a win-win combination, doesn’t it?
Here are the car's specifications.
Price: $ 695.000 (est.)
Transmission: 6-speed sequential w/ paddle shift
Horsepower @ RPM: 700 @ 7800
Torque @RPM: 482 @ 6500
Displacement: 2.7 L
0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) time: 2.6 sec.
0-100 mph (0-160 km/h) time: 5 sec.
Top Speed: 198 mph (320 km/h)
As a car with such potential "on paper", its current rivals are the Ariel Atom 500 V8 and the KTM X-BOW GT
their website: http://quantumpv.com.au/
Oh and one more thing... This car has enough downforce to be able to theoratically be driven upside down. Now that is insane.
My opinion, i think the car seems impressive for its stats, i don't exactly like the design itself, although it looks a bit similar to the Ariel Atom 500 in many ways, i myself like these type of cars, and this one seems very interesting, the main and only downside (that i can see), is the price, compared with its rivals and similar cars it is far too expensive, not to mention for a very first car of a company, expect many problems, i think this would be a great addition to racing games, don't you think?
