Game completion: 30,9 %.
I already had stated about getting back to Watch Dogs after a year of first sneaking into it – but somehow had deleted that entry. Anyway, I am glad I finally got into this game (especially since I bought it full prized when it came out) and I am really enjoying it. Looked very confusing first, but it’s really worth working yourself into it.
As (typical) for games like this, controls often get your biggest enemy. Here I find it extreme annoying to quickly leave your cover. Aidan just loves to stick in his cover, no matter what danger await you there. Most of my screen deaths were because I could not leave the cover in time.
Platinum trophy # 79 overall (of 79) and # 12 on PS4.
100% game completion # 106 overall (of 106) and # 19 on PS4.
Surprisingly easy and hassle free Platinum trophy, I decided to do a chilled ‘easy’ gamethrough since the game does not demand you to play it on hard for getting all trophies.
Still I feel a bit disappointed about the game. The third-person-shooter mechanic work good but never get out of standards given for years. The visuals are stunning and full of details, the lightning system is superb. Characters look pretty lively and believable, but – and this is what bothers me most – the ‘story’ is so boring and meaningless. Obviously, looking at how much effort the producers were putting into the cut scenes, they wanted to really tell an interesting story. But what I saw is only empty phrases and recurring clichés put together in a more than predictable way. There truly is not one original detail about the story. What is especially sad, since the world that the game creates has so much potential.
Anyway, I got the game on a deal and I mostly enjoyed my (brief) time with it, so need to complain.
Platinum trophy # 78 overall (of 78) and # 11 on PS4.
100% game completion # 105 overall (of 105) and # 18 on PS4.
Now I have all available Infamous trophies that are out there – I really like this series! (Got the original Infamous-Platinum earlier this year) :) For First Light: I wasn’t a big fan of Fetch in the main game, but her story was okay in this short DLC. Did you notice the bitter-sweet change in the loading screen as you progress through the story?
As I said before, the game looked better to me as the Second Son main game did and the Neon power is quite cool. I liked the small short free roaming part. The mini races were fun, though I usually hate races. :) The arena challenges were okay, I did not find them too easy, but as you level up and get into them, you get better and better. Actually I found them surprisingly fun, though I usually don’t like all that fast gaming action. Only hated it, when the controls and camera were working against you; when you got stuck somewhere under a ledge or in a tunnel where you could not get free while enemies were shooting on you. Those were the situations that usually got me to fail. But aside from that, it was really good.
