Platinum # 49
Not sure how I finally stumbled upon this one – but is a cool game for the Vita. Kind of easy to learn, hard to master. Well, not all that hard, but I needed to look up some tips on the internet. It was a lot of fun – too bad PvZ 2 is not available for Vita as well.
All right, last statement for now on a game I finished recently up to 100% and / or got the platinum trophy:
Got this one through PS+. First I wasn’t sure if I should play it or not, but then I thought it just looks to cool not to play it – and so I did. Looking at the gameplay, it doesn’t do anything new and I think some more tweaking to the game mechanics would have been good. But the story is quite sweet and told in an interesting way. And there are way too little games around using this film noir setting. So, yeah, it’s a fun game. Done 100% in 5 hours, needed to replay some parts, but still it’s not all that challenging.
Platinum # 48
My, my – another Lego game played up to Platinum. I was a bit afraid, it would be a bit disappointing like Lego Batman 2, but thank Goodness, this one is way better. The Story Level are nice and offer cool Locations, the characters are cute and have their very on moves and the open city is done quite sweet and offers more fun stuff to do than in Lego Batman 2. At its best part, the open world gameplay reminded me of a Lego version of GTA4.
Overall I think the game tries to be way too big. A bit less stuff to do would have been okay. Also I was annoyed but a couple of freezes and so many times characters got stuck somewhere and you had to restart the level. After so many Lego titles out on the PS3 they should handle their engine better! Still, after all, the platinum trophy was quite easy to get. I hated the air races, but found a way to avoid them by using a little bug. So I got the 100% trophy when I still needed 5 more gold bricks. And no, I don’t feel ashamed for that!
Platinum # 47
and first on my shiny new PS4 :)
I was not sure if I should already get the PS4, but since I played an Assassin’s Creed game each Christmas for 4 years in a row (5 now, including 2013) and since I wanted to play AC4 on the PS4, I just had to get one. It certainly still is steps away from real next gen, but still at some points the game looks really good and the loading times are okay. Overall AC4:BF is a great game, not much related to the storyline anymore, but I did not really care. I love the big open world and travelling around in your ship through the wonderful Caribbean see was so much fun. Getting the platinum trophy was not really hard, compared to games from this series before. Just getting level 55 in MP was a bit boring. But overall it is a great game and I enjoyed it a lot.
