Title of No Importance

I've been sitting here in front of my computer for about an hour now, just staring at this micro blog thing. I've been trying my best to type this post out in my mind before doing so. I really don't know how to do it though. Everything becomes jumbled. Nothing sounds quite right. So, I guess I'll just have to be blunt about it.

For the past two or three days, I've been upstate, where my parents live, because my mom had suffered a stroke and was hospitalized. Now, even though my mother and I have never seen eye to eye, to the point she's told me I'm going to Hell for being with another woman. Mind you I don't believe in such a place, but its the intent of the words. I'm not trying to make my mom out to be rude or evil or anything like that, I'm just putting into perspective, our relationship.

Regardless of that, she is still my mom and I love her, and I've been up here, staying in a hotel with a very crappy internet connection. Takes forever just to go anywhere. I've been trying to keep myself distracted, whether by reading around this site or just talking with people on chatting programs.

I had been doing well until today. Today on the 10th of March, my mother, while still in the hospital, suffered another stroke which ultimately killed her. I feel empty inside. That's the best way I can describe my emotions at the moment.

I honestly, don't know why I decided to post this here, on a website dedicated to gaming. I suppose its just a way I'm coping. I'm not asking for pity or anything of the sort, I'm just getting this off my mind.

Hopefully the next time when I do this kind of thing, it'll be in better spirits and more towards what this website is about but... I just had to do this.

Plat #2 & General Ramblings.

While I should have did this when I actually got the Platinum about a month or two ago, I simply forgot about it.

While I myself don't really get trophies for fun/sport, as I enjoy playing the game and enjoying the story far more than gathering pointless virtual bragging rights, I do sometimes get them whether out of boredom or because I just feel like it or if I feel the game I'm playing is deserving of it.

As I was starting my 6th or so play through of Fallout 3, I decided to get the trophies necessary to just show I love the game that much, I was only missing about six. So, while I was working on my good character, I'd save before the milestone levels which I believe are 8, 14, and 20. After saving, I simply did enough evil deeds to drop my Karma to "Neutral" and then level up. It took a little bit but it worked.

I don't feel necessarily accomplished in getting the trophies but I feel with as much time as I put into the game, I might as well just get it over with, you know? I still need to get all the DLCs and complete them as well, as I only have "The Pitt" currently, which I love immensely. So, if the Pitt is a good example of the other DLCs I shouldn't be disappointed in them, I don't think. For anyone who has played the other DLCs could you confirm or deny this?

It just might take me a while to get them as I am currently unemployed. I am looking for a job though, so, hopefully I'll get one soon. I've been saying that for about 5 months though, so it is looking kind of bleak of me finding one. But I won't give up! My girlfriend can't support my gaming addiction forever! Haha.

Anyway, I think I've rambled on long enough and probably annoyed some people with my opinions on trophies so I think I'll hush up and just hit "post microblog" now. :P
