Sound issues with FFXIII

Hey everyone,

I've been playing FFXIII on my PS3 since release and I noticed about every couple minutes or so, the sound kind of dims out for a second then comes back up to full volume.  It only does this when I play with my HDMI cable, not my AV cable, and ONLY with FFXIII (I've tested with my Netflix streaming, movies, etc through the HDMI and it's all fine except for FFXIII).  I just tried my new HDMI cable (was borrowing a friends) and I am getting the same sound issue.  I am beginning to think it may be the game and I need to exchange it for another copy.  If anyone has any knowledge of this kind of issue, please comment!  Thanks for your help in advance!

Descent into Rapture

Just had to say I am absolutely loving BS2 so far!  I picked it up at the local GameStop tonight though I was a little disappointed by the maybe dozen people that showed up for it at midnight - I totally thought there would be more.

 

So far the game is offering much of the same from the first, with improvements and changes on some of the BS mechanics (most notably, the Circus of Value does not shout at you "Welcome to the Circus of Value" every time you access it, finally).  The game is definitely more difficult than the first.  In Bioshock, on Normal I did not die or use a Vita Chamber a single time.  In Bioshock 2 on Normal, I've already used it twice.  Perhaps there is a learning curve, but one of the core mechanics I found to be missing was the auto First Aid use.  This time instead of you automatically popping whatever FA kits you have when your health bar depletes, you actually have to press the D-pad to use the kit.  Otherwise, if your health depletes, you die - even with kits in your possession.  This definitely made the game more difficult (albeit in a good way) so it's taking a bit more strategy.

 

Just finished Ryan's theme park area and I am totally looking forward to more antics in the underbelly of Rapture tomorrow.  Hope you all are enjoying Bioshock 2!
