Meet the team

Playfire employees

Kieran O'Neill, co-founder/managing director/fridge stocker

A diehard RTS fan, Kieran wasted much of his youth on StarCraft, Red Alert and Age of Empires. In between perfecting his micro, he started the video sharing site HolyLemon (which he sold last year), as well as founding PSU.com and PS3Forums.com with partner in crime Seb Hayes (below).

Favorite game of all time: Deus Ex or Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun

Seb Hayes, cofounder/chief operations officer

Having bought all three PlayStation consoles on the day of release, it would be prudent to say Seb likes PlayStation. In fact so much so that he co-founded the largest PlayStation news & review site on the web (PSU.com) with Kieran, as well as growing PS3Forums.com into the 500th biggest forum worldwide.

Favorite game of all time: Final Fantasy VII (Coincidence it's a PS exclusive? I think not!)

Ben Phillips, cofounder/chief technical wizard

Despite a chronic addiction to Championship Manager during university, Ben managed to graduate with a degree in Computer Science from the University of Southampton. Some say he loves Python more than life itself, and that he'd have written his bio in binary if we had let him. With an eclectic taste, you'll find him playing anything from to PAIN, Heavenly Sword and Doom, to Syndicate, Lemmings and open source RTS games.

Aaron Sokoloski, developer

Forgoing sunlight to spend his childhood playing games, Aaron is as shark when it comes to games: his innocent demeanor conceals the fact that he is about to rip you apart. In Starcraft, anyways. We didn't fancy playing him at any other games after that. Apart from gaming and coding, he practices Wing Chun and taught Chuck Norris all he knows.

Favorite game of all time: Super Smash Bros.: Melee

Will McGugan, senior developer

After 'investing' many hours in games such as Command & Conquer, Jet Set Willy and Half-Life, Will, not content with merely playing games, started creating them too - working on titles such as Braveheart and Motorstorm. He then got hooked on Python, and wrote a rather splendid book on how to develop games in Python. Leaving Scotland to explore all that London has to offer, we're glad he ended up here with us.

Favorite game of all time: Doom II: Hell on Earth

Abby Mutesasira, interactive designer

Growing up in the land of blonde girls and meatballs, Abby has migrated from his Swedish roots to London, where he is responsible for making everything on Playfire pretty and easy to use. Never cooking so he has more time to game, you'll find him trash talking in the COD4 and Halo 3 lobbies on Xbox Live. He says his two favorite films are Swordfish and Brokeback Mountain, but we still can't quite tell if he's being serious.

Favorite game of all time: Super Mario Galaxy
