You are in your home, enjoying yourself. Suddenly, you realize that something is wrong. You investigate, and realize that your stash of golden bananas has been stolen. Of course, your reaction is immediate outrage and the decision to go on an adventure and thoroughly explore the island you live on, where the golden bananas have been hidden. Along the way, you meet up with old friends, newer enemies, and have the time of your life. Donkey Kong 64 was an excellent example of the capabilities of the N64, and pushed the limits to the point where it was packaged with the required N64 memory expansion.
