Answered the question: there is a easier way to defeat mr karate and mr big? – view all questions
Wall jump + Jump Kick. Gets 'em every time. Doesn't work in 2, thus 2 is nigh unplayable. And AoF3 is so different you have to relearn it. Which is a good thing because 1 and 2 are pretty poor games, considering SNK already had Fatal Fury and its sequel under their belt.

I didn't find them that difficult at all. The best thing to do is memorize their moves and counterattack or evade depending on the case.
