i really hope they are making a sequal to this game it would be great (my opinion) could they turn uncharted into a franchise with differant treasures and loactions a bit like indiana jones

The sequel is already in development and they've said that they're aiming for a 2009 release. I don't think there is any real details about it as of yet though.

THe game isn't officially confirmed but Naughty Dogg said they will make more. There is a high chance that it will be made, but nothing is ever set in stone (ie Duke Nukem, Starcraft Ghost, Halo mmo, etc..)

If they really end up making a movie from the first Uncharted, then it would make sense to time the release of the 2nd game with the release of the movie.  Hopefully.

Without a doubt, UnCharted is going to be a franchise for Naughty Dog. This is still one of the top five best looking games on the console market. Hopefully, Naughty Dog won't tamper with the core gameplay for the upcoming sequel - 2009 shall be a fabulous year of gaming.                                  

Yeah, Uncharted was great... Naughty Dog probably isn't going to give up on it.

I would definitely buy a sequel.

Agreed, sequel will be amazing. Picked 1st one up in July for £10 and played it through 3 times and loved it. Looks amazing, plays amazing.

If they keep the core of the game the same but just make improvements then....wow!
