i have just completed the game game on hard mode but i didnt get the gold trophy just wondering if anyone knows why?

Did you start with a new and fresh save?

yeah

The trophy for completing the game will not work if:

You use any of the game cheats any time during the play-through

Use chapter select to start at chapter one (you must select new game, not chapter select)

Used a game save that was partially beaten on another's account.

Were you online?
You have to start with a COMPLETELY new save.

I did input the codes that weren't cheats ( the two movie-codes and the "t-shirt Drake code" ) and it did not affect my game, just so you guys don't fear those codes.

has anyone tried crushing yet?  how bad is it?

Well, it's a large step up from Hard, I can tell you that. I'm dying a lot more rapidly on Crushing than I did on Hard. Thank god for the autosave-feature, but I'm really nervous about getting stuck in an area with an ammo-shortage.

So if I use the weapon select feature, does that mean that I won't get the trophy when I finish the game on hard?

i'm going to go with...yes?  but if you're goin' for 100%, it should unlock when you beat Crushing.

Oh I see. That makes sense. Guess I should just breeze with hard then so I can quickly unlock the crushing mode. Thanks dude.

yeah, you shouldn't have much issue with it.  Although like Stiankarlsen i'm dying a lot more, and a lot more frequently.  crushing might take you more than a just few hours.

using the ingame cheats doesnt effect getting the trophies. i was using them all the time lol. BUT they arnt available for use during crushing. so make sure you take note of what weapons are useful at certain major firefights in the game. make sure you bring the ammo in with you. there are a few that i had a hard time with and took me a few trys but tbh crushing just a little more sneakyness to get done. USE COVER WISELY!!! lol das the best advice i can give ya. but learning where and when enemies spawn an stuff during the other play throughs helps as well.

1st. You can't play Crushing before completeing Hard. It has to be unlocked.
2nd. @jeigra: Using the weapon select feature does not count as cheating, you will get the Hard-trophy. You will not get the Crushing-trophy, because weapon select is unavailable in Crushing. So listen to magewarrior, choose your weapons carefully!

When I finished the game on normal I began with hard. Only thing is I selected the first chapter in chapter select but in a fresh new save game. After that I just went on with the game without using chapter select.

So, what do you all think?
Will I get my gold trophy?
Will I be able to play crushing?

That's a toughie.  I would think it'd take whatever mode you used the most, if you used mainly hard, then it should unlock the previous three trophies. However, I just restarted the game over from Hard, and then from Crushing.  Only took me about a week to beat both back to back, and it gets easier.  Crushing really wasn't THAT bad aside from the last few firefights.

Well, I just did get my gold trophy for finishing the game in hard mode.

And now for crushing.... ai ai ai...

Crushing....I die every few minutes! It really earns its name. I'm stuck right now at my plane crash site.

i died twice during crushing and finished it in 4hrs 8 mins lol
