I think it other people running you off the road I was in first place when someone hit me when spinning out of control and when down to 10th place (think it was a french person) but has there been any news on fixing that when the full game is release?

I would actually need to be able to control a GT5P car before thinking of going online. But it does seem the type of game that should punish you for that kind of play. Maybe it will when damage is introduced (They're still doing that right?)

People always do that online, there will be a bunch of guys driving like pros and then some guy who crashes into people and bounces off walls - which surprisingly works and they often win

Yea ramming in Gran Turismo is an effective strategy but it shouldn’t be.  I'm not really interested in GT5 unless they put in damage.  I'm bored to death of running round hyper realistic cars in pristine condition for umpteen laps.  I want a more involved next gen racing experience cuase prologue was just GT3 with nicer graphics.  Better graphics are cool but the gameplay was just identical which was not exciting at all.

They say they are putting in damage in the full game which is going to be awesome.

The lack of private races/friend invites/voice chat does it for me. Sony/Japanese devs really need to get their heads around what is the bare minimum service requirements for online titles. If the Japanese don't want certain options then they can just have them turned off as default.

Yeah it would be great if they have friend invite in the game plus how come the Japaness alway first when the race starts?

* GT5: Prologue vehicle damage update demonstrate

Rumours only!

i was a fan of Gran turismo once but all other racers have damage and i think that's a must have for a racer now , it just looks stupid crashing into a wall and don't even have a scar on your car. Besides I've done the thing in Gran turismo so many times now , Get licence , buy car win races for money and buy some new cars , Same old story.

Completely agree with this SlaMori.  The first few times it was fun to see the amazing graphics and to race for money to buy new cards, but 4 versions later its getting repetitive.  Prologue was a massive dissapointment. It was just Gran Turismo with better graphics.  The gameplay was identical.  I'm at the point where if they don't make the gameplay more interesting (i.e add damage, trophies etc) I will not be picking this up (no matter how amazing the graphics are).

I love it too, I thought GT5p was awsome, I do get while people might not enjoy it but for me its excellent, damage would be nice but I'm not reallt that bothered about it (GRiD was pretty average imo and who buys racing games to crash?), a better penalty system is needed tho.......

Private rooms and Comms are the top 2 things for me

I have put in my vote, Although the non-full-function online is a downer, I thought the game itself was fantastic. In car cam is flawless and the GT TV section is a sweet bonus.

Was wondering whether this was any good. Some people may not like this post, but Forza 2 had an option to turn off collisions with other vehicles. I personally prefer collisions but if you really couldn't stand idiots ramming you it was a nice feature, maybe GT could use it?

Just got the game yesterday and was loving it until I experienced the online. That is by far the most atrocious laggy *expletive deleted* I have ever had the misfortune of playing. At first I thought that most people who play it are just incapable of actually braking but I don't think that's necessarily the case. It's the damn lag!

You dont get it slamori. That isnt what GT is about, its people like you who look at GT as a "Racing Game" its NOT! Its a Driving Simulator. The best thing about the GT Franchise is you can Buy and Master a Car that you proably wont be able to buy in real life. Its not so much a Me vs. You, but more of a Man vs. Machine. Obviously you aren't playing with a racing chair and a G25 Steering Wheel. I Dropped 700$ on my GT5 setup and its worth every single penny. Its not a game, its an EXPERIENCE! Its not just building a car collection or beating races (these are what kids that play games percieve it as) Its about feeling as realistic as possible and Mastering each and every machine in your garage.
