Any other "S" Class drivers have car tuning setups to share?

Here's a damn good template for posts:

Make and model: Car Name?
Track: Track Name and Variation?
Purpose: Drifting, Mission, Online TT?

Power hp: ---
Weight kg: ---
Tires: F -- / R --
Aerodynamics: F -- / R --
Ride Height mm: F -- / R --
Spring Rate: F - / R -
Damper: F - / R -
Toe Angle: F -.-- / R -.--
Camber Angle: F -.- / R -.-
Brake Balance: F - / R -
Max Turning Angle: --
ABS: -
TCS: -
F/R Torque Distribution: F - / R -
Points: ---
Gear Ratio: 1st: -.--- / 2nd: -.--- / 3rd: -.--- / 4th: -.--- / 5th: -.--- / 6th: -.--- / 7th: -.---

Make and model: Dodge Viper SRT10

Track: High Speed Ring Reverse
Purpose: "S" Class 680pt Race
Power hp: 647
Weight kg: 1345

Tires: F S3 / R S3
Aerodynamics: F -- / R --
Ride Height mm: F -20 / R -20
Spring Rate: F 5 / R 5
Damper: F 5 / R 5
Toe Angle: F -.-- / R -.--
Camber Angle: F -.- / R -.-
Brake Balance: F 7 / R 5
Max Turning Angle: 45
ABS: 1
TCS: 0
F/R Torque Distribution: F - / R -
Points: 680
Gear Ratio: 1st: 2.532 / 2nd: 1.735 / 3rd: 1.261 / 4th: 0.959 / 5th: 0.716 / 6th: 0.371 / 7th: 2.888

That's my High Speed Ring Viper setup, it allows for keeping power on in the corners without making it able to outrun everything out there on the straights.  So, what ya got?

I don't have prologue but this sort of stuff reminds me of why I enjoy the GT series so much.  I remmber tweaking my Viper to death to try and squeeze a few tenths off my 1/4 mile back in the day. Bring on GT5! Tongue out

Gran Turismo fails. Burnout Paradise FTW.

@VendettaV101

Burnout Paradise is a great game.  I just enjoy the realism that the GT series provides.  It's not for everyone, but for racing sims, it's damn hard to beat.

Burnout Paradise is a great arcade game.

GT is the best console driving game you could ever invest in, and to say it fails is utterly pathetic tbh.

If you want to love all over BoP then do it in the BoP section & stop spamming the GT section with nonsense.

On topic.

I find these cars set up sharing threads a bit of a waste of time personally. People should set up their cars in a way that suits the car & suits their driving styles. Someone using another persons settings will rarely work & they learn nothing for themselves.

But for me I will say that I keep everything at the basics if at all possible, relying on downforce, braking and acceleration to do the work.

I will rarely mess with anything else TOE, Damper, Spr.rate or Camber unless the car is very unstable (GT spec II which I gave -0.5 TOE to stableize it). I also increased the damper & Spr.rate to 6 to deal with the bumpy roads at high speeds, although I may remove these soon depending on how I get along. I haven't quite worked out all the kinks yet.

The GT40 is such a dream for me to drive though, but I have a sneaking suspicion that once I boost that in the full game it will become just as unstable as the SpecII concept.

I have both Burnout Paradise and GT5P. They're uncomparable, and both great in their own right.

Personally, I'm an enthusiast, so my ultimate plan is to have Gran Turismo 5, a G25 wheel, and a comfortable sport seat planted right in front of my 65" HDTV. All electronics off, on the Nurburgring. Cool

I find the GT difficult to drive. I Use a Chair + Wheel + Clutch, as well as no TCS or ASM ever. I always want to feel what the car wants to do. The FORD GT, has so much torque you need to really work that throttle and maintain your smoothness, otherwise you'll spin it around.

@CA36GTP  - I'm a Gran Turismo Nut job. I'm acutally kinda waiting on Damage and Private Rooms to get back into it. But Definetly add me to PSN we'll race.

Will do. I haven't played GT5P in a little bit, been playing GT4, have they made it possible to race with friends yet?

Dammit. They need to get on that so we can schedule races that don't involve idiots who learned how to race watching street racer movies.

hmm.. I dunno, any car setting isn't perfect, I find myself constantly changing settings around. Mostly to test and see what happens, but mostly to perfect my racing style and of course the car itself...

I have to get around to tuning cars. Im going to wait till I get bored playing races in it. Just got it last eek.

Anyone remember tuning their cars to try and beat their fastest speed ever in the test course? Fun times
