haha must say sux to be anyone with problems like my buddy just had he just gets his 360 back and downloads new update and it bricks again at least ps3 hasnt had firmware problems this bad

Actually, a few PS3s have been bricked by firmware updates.

yea i was lucky enough for 2.4 to not brick myne but still ps3 fixed thr issues and it seems like microsoft is sayin its not thr fault

I thought mine was bricked and the wonderfully helpful Sony representative, who btw sounded like she should have been captain of the cheerleading squad, had no clue at all what was wrong with my system and instead just asked me to send it back for $150....then it worked.  guess you just need to scare these things a little.

I'm lucky on boths ends. I haven't been rrod in awhile and I've never had a problem with my PS3 ever.

All my friends seem to be loving NXE and my ps3 is fine but i do feel sorry for your friend

2 of my PS3's have broke due to updates....

I download it 2.40 when it was leaked & I didnt get any problems.

And I have the 80gb Limited Edition with everything in it.

I read alot on that problem and it looked like "some" people that had the 40gb & 60gb ps3 were effected by it the most.

SONY said it was like 0.1 % of people that had problems only.  (and that was just a minor update) Sony took care of everyone.

But with M$ their is just no excuse with 360's over heating & getting red rings, problems with LIVE not working (every second online counts you paid it!! )

and now this.....M$ been f**king up

No matter where you go there will be console wars. I get insanely tired of it as well. What can you do? Nothing obviously.

I like both consoles but I admit that my xbox personally has had alot of hardware issues in the past ( on my second xbox atm ) and general problems. I haven't had a problem with my PS3 yet outside a couple of freezes on games. NXE does make my xbox run a heck of alot faster , or is it all in my mind?

There are many people who are having problems with the NXE update. Hopefully, I don't run into this problem anytime soon in the foreseeable future.

you have to pay to fix a PS3 when it breaks to but I will admit Hardware failure is more common on the 360 but its not like it happens to every last person that owns a 360

i was readin another post and it was sayin ms was receiving death threats haha and i doubt ms plans on pullin it like sony did to fix thr mistake

no point.  curious. i got 2 separate RROD, so I'm on my 3rd 360, i avoided the 2.4 bug
