I just emailed ign about their mistake.  THIS IS NOT PS3 EXCLUSIVE. On the ps3 page it says ps3 exclusive, and on the x360 page is says x360 exclusive.  I apologize sincerely about this mistake and was just going by the fact that ign stated it's ps3 exclusive.

There is Killzone 2 and there is Arma 2.  Arma 2 is going to be the Gran Turismo of Shooters offering up the most authentic and realistic battlefield experience ever.  sounds like call of duty, but the images speak for themselves, this game looks hot!  (below)  For one example of authentic... the sound design is incredible. Each vehicle has 40 different sounds all going at once, for like engine parts, wheels and all that. and you hear certain ones before the others. Snipers' muzzles will flash before you hear the bullet.  it's crazy, this game sounds like a beast. Scheduled for 2009.  here's some screenshots to quench your thirst.  Just a heads up.  watch out for my 2009 outlook on my "top exclusives" thread where i'll detail all the 2009 ps3 exclusives, because the ps3 lineup is unbeatable.

Cool!!! With the glut of new games in Q4 I was wondering what we had to look forward to, besides Killzone 2 and maybe GoW3, in 2009. Thanks for the heads up—the screenshots are amazing!

the graphics don't look mind blowing, but the video was probably early production footage.

alright, some things to clarify. 

The announcement - this game was announced at GC, but it was pretty much a name.  the link is the first preview and that was today

The screens - can't actually confirm if they're in game or not, so the best thing to do is assume pre-rendered until proven false. But ign's preview stated they are highly impressed with the graphics. 

The video - is the initial video released with the announcement and is really old. IGN played a different build.
