That's some link right there.....
On-topic now, apparently they're including the software emulation back again eh?.... looks like all of you 80GBers will get a firmware update regarding this pretty soon if you ask me...
Nevertheless... any official word from Sony about this?
I've read multiple things. Some say the 160gig does NOT have BC, and yet this says it DOES have BC... At 500$ it would make sense if it had BC.
@ monstermax - Any link to support that?
One thing that made me wonder - the guy selling this states Uncharted: Drakes Fortune - New release?? This game was amongst the release games wasn't it?

I'll believe it when I have a more valid link. That's just what some ebay seller is stating. Could be true but could also be false.

I was just saying that would be pretty logical if they put back software emulation (the acution states LIMITED compatibility with PS & PS2 titles, hence my association with soft emulation) they would be giving some attention to it, so in a way those who have 80GB software emulated PS3s would benefit from this too.
Sorry if i got you all excited, but it was just a thought...

From what he was told? So are we supposed to assume he DID his research on what he was told? Or just assume whatever whoever told him was right? Lol.

No, not a release game, but it was released last November... so it's a year old. It's relatively 'new' on Platinum though.
Ok i'm lost
....are you trying to sell this to someone or something.
Well i'm looking at a 160GB model right now and this is what it reads.
" This model of the playstation 3 system is designed to play playstation 3 format software and has limited backward compatibility. This system is not compatible with and will NOT play playstation 2 format software. Some playstation format software may play on this system."

So this clearly means 2 things:
1- That it does NOT have software emulation, therefore there is no chance in hell that plays PS2 titles, but could play PS titles since PS emulation is like adding 5 more code lines
jk.
2- The guy who is actually selling the system doesn't know *expletive deleted* of what he's selling, and besides, he is incapable of doing proper research before giving out "uncertain" information, at the least.
