Playfire is all about games and community, so it isn't weird that Playfire will hold his very own yearly game awards.
A whooping 2889 votes are submitted, far more then I ever could imagine. So without further adu here are the winners of 2008!

Best Game of 2008:

Metal gear solid 4 with 39 % of the votes.  Second game was LittleBigPlanet with 30 % of the votes.

Best studio of 2008:

Media molecule: the developer from LittleBigPlanet had a incredible 49% of the votes, second studio was Bethesda with 23 %

Best shooter of 2008

Resistance 2: the clear winner with 52 % of the votes, the second game is gears of war 2 with 21%

Best RPG of 2008

Fallout 3: with 54 % of the votes , the second game is Valkyria chronicles with 19%

Best fighting game of 2008

Soul calibur IV with 44 % of the votes , the second is Super smash brawl with 33 %

Best handheld game of 2008

God of war: Chains of olympus: The clear winner with 59% of the votes, second is Patapon with 26%

Best graphics in 2008 (all consoles)

Metal gear solid 4: With a insane and unbelievable 86% of the total votes shows clearly that the Playfire community loves Metal gear solid 4! The second was Littlebigplanet with 7 %

Best music game of 2008

Rock band 2: it was a close race but RB2 won with 42% and the second was guitar hero world tour with 38 %

Best racing game of 2008

Burnout paradise: the clear winner with 73 % of the votes, second is Mario kart Wii with only 16 %

Best action adventure game of 2008

Metal gear solid 4: Once again MGS4 wins it with a lot of votes, it has 54%! Second was GTA4 with 22%

Best soundtrack ingame (all consoles)

LittleBigPlanet: the charming music in LBP got rewarded with a total of 61% second is GTA4 with 17 %

Best Xbox 360 game of 2008

Gears of war 2: it has 50 % of the votes , second is Fable 2 with 21 %

Best Wii game of 2008

Super smash bros brawl: with 70% of the votes, second is No more heroes with 13 %

Best Playstation 3 game

Metal gear solid 4: With a total of 54% of the votes , second was Resistance 2 with 21 %

Best PC game

Crysis Warhead: With 33 % of the votes , second was Left 4 dead with 30 %

Resistance 2: with a whooping 64% of the votes, second is Call of duty world at war with 14 %

David Hayter as old snake: With 68%, second was Stephen fry in LBP with 16%

 i really need to :) holidays r comoin soon so i'll get lots a money from work :). im buy Resistance 2 on release in Aust (27th) so everyone hu has it add my PSN (Awsomonium) so i can play it with u guys

this site is really biased towards ps3 games so its a little unfair. Honestly mgs4 was good but it definatly didnt deserve all of those awards. Best graphics.... um wow have u only bought that game like jesus ive seen better..
