Hey everyone,
I wanted to quickly mention that I'm currently out at this year's E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) with Eric B from PSU on a mission to spread the word about Playfire! Over the next few days I will hopefully be brushing shoulders with some of the biggest game companies in world and of course making a beeline for some hands-on time with the very latest in gaming goodness.

Tomorrow the event officially kicks off with the event floors opening up, but before I get too far ahead of myself, I just want to quickly backtrack to yesterday to the SCEA PlayStation Blog meet-up. The event which was a huge success with over 300 attendees cramming into the aptly named "Mama’s Hot Tamales cafe" in downtown L.A. The event was bustling and filled with plenty of friendly faces.
While there I was fortunate enough to meet lots of great people; including some big Playfire fans! I also met Jeff Rubenstein & Chris Morell from the SCEA blog as well as members of the SCEE blog team and Gerrard from HipHopGamer who grabbed me for an impromptu video interview (expect to see it on his site soon). The developers behind the upcoming PSP title "SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3" were also there showcasing the game. If you want to read more about it you can see a full write-up of the event written by Eric on PSU.
Today was pre-registration at the convention center, so we picked up our conference badges from the event and took some pictures of the conference hall(s) [both inside and out], as well as of some of the impressive posters adorning the surrounding billboards and skyscrapers of the convention center. I've uploaded these and posted them below.

Massive building posters promoting Final Fantasy 13 for Xbox 360 and PS3 (oh and me again on the right
)

More gigantic posters with a 120 foot Assassins Creed II poster connecting the South and West event halls being of particular note.

Inside the lobby of the South Hall a band practices on Rockband beneath another gigantic FF XIII poster.

An eerily empty hall lobby which will no doubt be a lot more packed tomorrow :)
Unfortunately the conference ushers wouldn't let us take any pictures of the show floor, but from what we could see from outside it looked pretty interesting; with multi-tier booth platforms and hundreds of exhibitors franticly working to get everything ready in time for the event tomorrow.
I will hopefully be posting again soon with more updates and pictures from the event soon. Let me know if there is anything in particular you guys want me to try to check out in in the comments section below.
