Related to Left 4 Dead 2 posted 3 weeks ago

Games I've played lately

Well, here I go again with a short "gaming" update.

Game I've played the most is still Left4Dead2, and it seems the multiplayer mode has got a slight update, especially after they introduced bot SE in vs. mode. There just aren't as many *expletive deleted* players atm, like there was 2 months ago.

Apart from that, Everybody's Golf 2 on the PSP has been the primary time sucker. First golf game I ever really played and it's loads of fun, especially after you start mastering the technique and make large puts - still aiming for an eagle though.

I also tried The Bachelor Party for Atari 2600 and damn that game is primitive, and bad - the left right = up down controls are... weird, and the gameplay is way repetitive - a lot more than usual 2600 fare. A bad excuse for a arkanoid-type game really.

Then I started on Asterix on the Sega Master System, and till now, level 3 I think, it's a just OK platformer. The 3rd level features this mariotype scrolling thing, where you die if you stick too much to the left as the screen will push you down a hole. It's quite intense, and don't think I beat it just yet. The game seems ok, but nothing special - it really seems a bit cheap.

Then I just installed S.T.A.L.K.E.R.  Shadow of Chernobyl and Warhammer 40.000 Dawn of War on my PC - had to re-install all my PC stuff because I got the fabulous Windows 7! Only bug 'till now seems to be the sudden overly bad video out transfer, which was good on XP.

I also got a modded PSP 1004 (phat), so now I have the 3004 for UMD and PSN games, with a MUCH better screen as well, and the 1004 for retro gaming. That's cool and all, but unfortunately it seems the 32 mb ram aspect of 1004 means that I can't play Killer Instinct for examples on SNES emulator, since it's just too slow moving. Still, there's a lot of gaming history fun to explore and review.

Gaming update 12/01/10

These days I've been playing Left 4 Dead 2 inbetween my examn paper, and Police Quest 4, when my girlfriend goes early to bed. I really dig the cinematically based adventure games, especially the ones Sierra made.
