I picked up Bad Dudes, Hogan's Alley and Ninja Gaiden for the NES and Castelvaina Adventure for the Gameboy. All great games.
My favorite console is the NES and my favorite genre is 2D platformer. My favorite game is Super Mario Brothers. As 3D games have become stale, I see a resurgence of the 2D game design and a return to game play over graphics. I've studied game design in college and I know people who work in the industry (Sony, Funcom, etc).
Just played Mafia Wars on Facebook. It really is the game (if you can call it that) that plays itself. My goal is to earn $1 million an hour and see …
I like the new look of Playfire.
Trying to play Reset Generation (http://resetgeneration-site.arena.n-gage.com/) but they don't support Mac. =(
Spent the weekend playing Donkey Kong on the Gameboy Pocket. I enjoyed it but wished that I was playing it with backlight. I had forgotten how fun it…
Did you know that Gears of War's cost was completely underwritten by Microsoft.

In 2003 I was speaking with a Konami employee and he told me that the real reason the the GameCube didn't have DVD was that Sony is one of DVD's patent holders and refused to license the technology to Nintendo. That's why they went with the optical disk developed by Matsushita/Panasonic.
Did you know that Gears of War was responsible for the Xbox 360 having 512 megs of ram? I was at a speach being given by an Epic employee in 2007 and he said that Epic showed Bill Gates what GoW would look like on 256 megs of ram and 512 megs of ram. Bills Gates then order that the 360 have 512 ram.
He said that about a month later Epic got a phone call from a Microsoft accountant who told them that they were responsible for costing him $1 billion dollars.
Wow! I've been a video gamer for 30 years. How the time has flown by but it's been a fun three decades. I became a gamer at age 7 with Space Invaders. I remember playing it at a mini-mart in Lynchburg, Va.
I'm thinking about playing Dragon Warrior for the NES this weekend.
